Meet the Artist Behind Threadteller
Threadteller is founded by Hetal Thakker - an artist and designer drawn to the patient, expressive possibilities of thread and fabric.
Hetal’s creative journey has moved through graphic design, fashion design and jewellery design, alongside e-commerce experience serving customers across the UK and Europe during her years in the United Kingdom. Every chapter shaped the way she sees colour, form, detail and the quiet emotional power of well-made things.
After relocating to India and stepping into motherhood, she took a pause from professional work. That pause made more room for family, reflection and a different kind of creative practice: one shaped by curiosity, care and the quiet satisfaction of bringing ideas into form.
Along the way came dot mandalas, crochet, textile design, embroidery and many small creative detours. While raising twin boys in Thane, Maharashtra, yoga and meditation brought their own kind of calm: a reminder that growth does not always have to be loud, hurried or linear.
Threadteller grew from that space.
It is a space where design experience meets an artist’s instinct; where textile techniques can sit comfortably in contemporary homes; and where every piece is created to carry more than decoration alone.

Every Threadteller piece begins long before the final stitch.
A motif is developed, colours are considered, fabrics are selected and applique details are carefully planned. The work then moves between digital design, material experimentation and embroidery - bringing together texture, colour and composition one thoughtful layer at a time.
The process is not about producing identical objects in a hurry. It is about allowing each design to find its own balance: a soft linen ground, a vivid thread, a familiar form or a small detail that makes someone pause and smile.
From fabric and colour selection, to applique and embroidery, to the studio work behind each design, every stage contributes to the final story.
